Nakajima Ki-43 "Hayabusa" (Oscar) & drop tank　－　一式戦闘機「隼」と燃料タンク: Although this vintage photo from a September 1944 "Asahi Graph" magazine is admittedly of rather poor quality, I'm sure you'll find it of interest.
The yellow 200l drop tank is prominent in the foreground but what could the other object under the starboard wing be? A 250kg bomb with the fins retouched by the war time sensor or a quite unusual for a Hayabusa "Ta-dan" air-to-air cluster bomb?

「隼」に取り付けるため、整備員が２００ℓの燃料タンクを抱えている。タンクははっきり見てわかるが、右主翼下に掛けられているものは、何でしょうか？
当時の陸軍の検閲等により、２５０ｋｇの爆弾のフィンを消されたため、このような形になってしまったのか。または、空対空爆弾「タ」弾なのか？
