On occasion, militaries have their aircraft painted in eye catching liveries and this Flying Boxcar fits into the category. Yellow nose paint seguing into lightning bolts complimented by red accented vertical and wing surfaces — this might be the most eye pleasing Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar existing. When I visited Fort Bragg to see the Airlifters Airpark on Pope Army Airfield I was lucky to have a warm late afternoon light which had the paint on this Flying Boxcar glowing.
