Discovery's Final Journey: With NASA 905, the 747 Shuttle Carrie Aircraft (SCA) in the background in the predawn twilight, Discovery is towed to the Shuttle Landing Facility Runway for its final journey: The Smithsonian in Washington. After the 75 minute tow from the VAB, Discovery will be hoisted atop the 747 SCA, secured, and flown up the coast on its final airborne trip. A sad day for all.
