Quick facts about tornados and airports:
Each airport has an emergency plan in case of tornado activity.
Keep in mind that airports are very aware of weather, and aircraft normally do not take off, land, or even move around during any serious thunderstorm. Tornados are easy to see on radar and therefore easy to go around.
