McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. “An F/A-18 Hornet from the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) receives fuel from a U.S. Air Force KC-135R Stratotanker during an aerial refueling mission over the Pacific Ocean on Aug. 2, 2005. The Stratotanker is assigned to the 186th Air Refueling Wing, which is deployed to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, in order to provide air-to-air refueling between distant locations.”
